As a Solar Electrician with Ambia Solar, you will be an integral part of each solar installation we complete, working to support the installation crew by completing the electrical tie-in for each job. You will work closely with the crew lead, installers, and other tradesmen to ensure our work is done promptly, efficiently, and successfully. Our electricians also serve as subject matter experts and leaders/mentors for our younger installers and apprentices. Solar electricians are the spine of every good installation crew at Ambia Solar, providing critical experience and skill at every job!

What you’ll be responsible for:
- Completing all electrical work to Ambia standards and national code, including but not limited to
- Arriving at the jobsite on time every morning
- Setting up your workspace with safety and efficiency in mind
- Bending conduit
- Completing the AC disconnect and electrical tie-in
- Working closely with your crew members to increase efficiency and productivity
- Teaching and training installers and leads on electrical processes
- Communicating with the office, the Operations Manager, and the homeowners to complete any necessary main panel upgrades and supplementary electrical services
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing existing Ambia Solar systems
- Completing reports and documentation in a timely manner
- Meeting with inspectors to ensure your work meets code
- Maintaining a safe working environment
What we need from you:
- You know as well as we do that this job is tough, often requiring you to
- Consistently lift 60+ pounds
- Be on your feet the entire day (which is often long)
- Be comfortable working in whatever weather conditions occur
- Be comfortable working at different heights
- Plenty of electrical experience (preferably residential and/or solar-specific)
- A respectable knowledge of hand and power tools relating to the job
- The ability to think critically, problem solve, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to pass a background and driving record check
- An appetite for ownership and accountability
- An attitude of seeing ways to get a job done rather than looking for reasons why it can’t be done
